Urban Shakedown
There were two artists recording under the name Urban Shakedown. Chronologically, they are:
1) A short-lived post-punk dub duo that came out of Basement 5. The duo were Dennis Morris (bass and vocals) and "T" a.k.a. Anthony Thompson (drums, vocals). The band recorded one 7" single called "Big Bad Wolf" on Paul Weller's Respond label in 1982.
2) The joint venture of Gavin King, Mickey Finn and Claudio Giussani. The trio were responsible for rave classics 'Some Justice' and 'Bass shake'. There are other tracks in the shakedown catalogue including 'Bass Speaker', 'Ruff Justice', 'Do it Now!', 'Assasinator', 'Analogue' and more.
Mickey and Gavin went on to form Urban Takeover, Claudio is now producing a more trance sound as Terra Ferma.
